Gerry Andrews was a member of the Stones team and drove the Hemi Hunter Pro Comp dragster.
In Timo's own words (well almost!)
"Gerry Andrews was a good, fast and solid racer who raced the Stones' Hemi Hunter cars against Jim Read and the Scandinavian racers for many years.  All the racers in Pro Comp felt sorry when he quit racing.  Gerry and the whole Stones team were a good example of how nice and helpful people can be during the race.  Gerry was the first Pro Comp driver to ran a 6.5 second lap, unfortunately there was no back up time for the record."

Dave Stone does a little tuning on the Hemi Hunter dragster.

Gerry Andrews gets ready for another run in Hemi Hunter.

Gerry Andrews burns out in front of a crowded spectator banking at Santa Pod.

A great shot of the rear wheels of Hemi Hunter spinning in the grip juice and throwing it up in the air.

Gerry Andrews and Hemi Hunter behind the line at Mantorp Park.
On the right is the Stones' team boss the late Dennis Stone, in the centre with his back to the camera is his son Dave.

Dave Stone burning out hard in the Stardust funny car at Santa Pod.  This car was previously campaigned by Raymond Beadle and was called The Blue Max.  Allan 'Bootsie' Herridge can just be seen in his Gladiator funny car in the pit lane.

Another Dave, this time Page, burning out his Monza-bodied Panic! funny car.  This car was built and raced by Dennis Priddle before passing to the Page team.  The picture was taken at Mantorp Park.

Jim Read at Mantorp Park in the Team ReadSpeed Le Patron rear engined Pro Comp dragster built for him by Dennis Priddle.

And now for a car very dear to Timo Aartomaa's heart (he liked it so much he bought it) - the beautiful ex-Keeling & Clayton California Charger.

Previous owner Steinar Stolen launches the California Charger off the line at Santa Pod.

Petter Sollen (bending over) tunes the Hays clutch of the California Charger while Steinar Stolen controls the car.  This picture was taken in the pits at Mantorp Park in either 1981 or 1982.

Another shot of the crew working on the 526" Ken Veney/Keith Black engine of the Charger between rounds.  Steinar Stolen is kneeling in the blue trousers, Tom Berg is on the other side of the car and Petter Sollen is standing on the extreme right.  The girl taking an interest in proceedings is Isabelle who was from the French press.  This shot was taken at Santa Pod in 1981 or 1982.

Timo Aartomaa driving the California Charger at his first race which was the August 1983 FHRA Internationals held at Räyskälä.  The front of the car on the extreme right of shot is the Expert Pro Comp funny car.  Räyskälä was an airfield used for drag racing between 1977 and 1986.

And now for a great series of pictures featuring NHRA World Champion Raymond Beadle and his Blue Max funny car all of which were taken at Mantorp Park in 1981.

Another fierce burn out from The Blue Max.

Raymond Beadle in stage with the late 'Lee' Anders Hasselstrom in his Flygvapnet funny car.

Raymond Beadle lifts the front wheels and pulls a hole shot on Anders' car.

A superb action shot of The Blue Max leaving hard.

And to finish this page, the very colourful Corvette-bodied Pro Comp funny car of Martin Hopp pictured at Mantorp.
